When thinking through your reasons for prayer, you may want to enlist a trusted friend or family member to help you talk things through.

As the Book of Matthew says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ” (Matthew 7:7). The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once said that “Supplication is worship itself” (Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3247). Asking God for what you need is a way of praising Him.

You may already have a certain person in mind. As hard as it might be to accept, keep in mind that you can’t force anyone to love you. Keep yourself open to other possibilities.

As the Book of Romans says, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. ” (Romans 12:12). The Qu’ran advises Muslims to “Seek Allah’s help with patient perseverance and prayer. It is indeed hard except for those who are humble. " (2:45)

This prayer is a novena, meaning that it’s meant to be prayed for 9 consecutive days.

After reciting this dua, ask Allah for His help finding a husband. You can say something like, “Please, give me the blessing of a loving husband to share my life with. ”

You can then go on to request Allah’s help by saying something like, “I believe that I am ready to meet my husband. If it is in Your plan, please let it be so. ”

Follow up this dua with a personal supplication to Allah, saying something like, “Allah, please let the path to my husband be an easy one. ”

This tefillah is an adaptation of one composed by the Chida.

Try not to obsess over your quest to find a husband. Remember that you already have a rich life, so be grateful to God and give His plan time.
