But unlike previous titles, the campaign isn’t front and center for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Players that open up the game will find that the main page doesn’t have a link to the campaign. So how are players supposed to explore the single-player mode? Thankfully, it’s not too difficult.

Campaign Location

After opening up the game, players will be given a few featured buttons to use on the main screen. Just underneath those buttons, players can barely see the top of some multiplayer options.

Scroll down in that direction to see the full list of modes. New game modes may arrive soon, so revisit this area often. Even multiplayer gamers will want to check to see if something new got added here.

From here, select the campaign area. For those just barely starting out, choose “New Game” and get started. Those who are partway or fully finished with the campaign will be able to choose individual missions or review prior cinematics with the next two icons.

The co-op is not technically part of the campaign, but there are some impactful missions here. Completionists should take note that there are star ratings on each of the co-op missions. Of course, randomly selected players online might ruin the rating, so choose a buddy to get started on these PvE events. When queuing without a friend, learn the basics before getting matched up to keep from ruining the mission for the other ally.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
